Deconstruct and Re- Creation Portrait

 

My model for recreating this portrait was Yu Sun Chen. I got Yu in a similar pose as the model from the reference image. I chose Yu because she reminds me of the girl from the picture I was recreating. Yu turned her body to the camera and turned her head slightly to the right. She was still looking at the camera as the model from the original photo.

I positioned the main light with the light cone in front and slightly to the right side of Yu’s face. However, the light cone was not narrow enough to create the same golden circle as in the reference image. I’m going to fix that in Photoshop. I also used the background light with the red gel to create the red background. I will make it more evenly red in Photoshop as well. I will add the fire and smoke to my picture to make it look like the reference one. Overall, I am happy with the result, and after post–production, the photo will look amazing.
