Miles Aldridge: color photography

Miles Aldridge is a British photographer who was surrounded by art from childhood because of his parents. He directed music videos and then became a fashion photographer. His images contain women, strange poses, different lights, vivid colors, etc. Miles Aldridge also uses erotic undertones to emphasize the drama in his pictures. He clearly plans every shot and thinks about every detail, such as the color palette of the lights, the model, the poses, the story beyond the image, etc.

 

I like the use of vivid cinematographic colors and effects in his pictures. He emphasizes every detail and makes the shot captive and alluring. In the photo above, I like the use of a fast shutter speed to capture the smoke. Moreover, the red lashes, nails, and background make a great contrast in the picture. In the image on the right, we can see unusual blue lipstick accompanied by orange hair and led lights. I like the cinematographic effect in this photo as well.
